Marketing Development

The marketing development teams help with group innovations from the design phase through to marketing in order to promote them to consumers all over the world.

The marketing development teams are globally responsible for a range of products and for brand image at international level. They devise global strategies, fine-tune development processes for new products and coordinate the deployment of the strategy in all the countries where the group is present. For example, in our Professional Products Division, which is responsible for our prestigious salon brands, marketing development works hand-in-hand with our Education teams, since their field of expertise, knowledge and exchange with hairdressers form the engine of our marketing creations.

Project Manager
You are responsible for developing a range of products at international level and analyse consumer needs based on distributor and consumer focus groups and new market trends. On this basis you plan 3 years ahead for the new products in the categories for which you are responsible and devise concepts using the right storytelling. You also help design the packaging in liaison with the experts. In coordination with the communication and digital teams you devise the launch strategies for each country and draw up the launch plans. You are responsible for complying with the development schedule and are capable of managing a product development budget.


Group Project Manager
You are responsible for several franchises of a brand at an international level and you manage the global strategy and product development. Based on an in-depth analysis of the markets, competition and consumer needs, you participate in the launch of new products or renovation of ranges. You must be capable of introducing new ideas and creating designs and products in line with the brand’s values. While maintainaing the brand identity, you need to be creative and intuitive while being extremely thorough in your economic feasibility and technical analyses and in following-up your marketing plan. You must be capable of managing a team of international managers, helping build their expertise and know-how, as well as the budget and of taking responsibility for results.


Marketing Development Director
You are responsible for global product portfolio under a complete category within a brand at an international level and you manage the product development and define its international strategy to ensure the brand’s growth worldwide. Based on an in-depth analysis of the markets, competition and consumer needs you participate in the launch of new products or renewal of ranges. You must be capable of creating designs and products in line with the brand values. You develop and manage international teams and work closely with different individuals and teams:

  • the different hubs and regions to co-develop with them and share their inputs and insights; the R&I department to develop your product formula, the study department to approve the appropriateness of your design; the packaging creation agency; the advertising agency to design the communications of your launch; your operational project managers
  • to locally adapt and actually implement your strategy to suit the local market’s needs; your press relations and communication teams; and several other departments involved in the process
